Back from the Conference

Simply attending recharges my batteries.IMG_8031 adj

For three wonderful days, I wasn’t alone in my pursuits.

I found myself among a crowd with similar goals — people who didn’t find my interests quaint, fruitless, or odd.

For three days I:

  • learned more about my field
  • passed information to willing listeners
  • talked shop using insider shorthand
  • got answers directly from experts

With abundant resources for sale, I spent every dollar I’d budgeted. I didn’t get much sleep, but I filled my mind and spirit.

After a weekend packed with back to back sessions, I came home exhausted but happy. Digesting the new material will take a year.

By then I’ll be ready to return. I’ve already marked the dates.

I hope you also have a favorite writers conference — a place you can grow in your knowledge and where for a few days, you don’t have to pretend to be normal.
